Back to School

Well, school has officially started! The kids started class last week, but Bekkah only got to go on Thursday. The kindergarten classes at her school have half the kids come on one day, and the other half the next day. She was VERY dissappointed that she couldn't go on Friday. She popped right out of bed and got dressed quickly. I wondered why. When I said it was time to go, she grabbed her backpack. I told her again that she couldn't go today and she cried. Poor thing.

It has been a blast this year getting to see their excitement. Last Wednesday (the day before school started), we were talking at bed-time about what would happen the next day. I asked them if they were excited. Noah was excited and nervous at the same time. He was part of the forced-busing program last year and would be returning to this school. Bekkah was very excited! In fact, she stated the she had "been waiting her whole life to go to kindergarten!" What a hoot!

It's been a little strange here at home, but kinda nice. I am entering my "turbo busy" season. There are so many things to plan for church! An Awana kick-off in the county park, Awana, our Festival (which is a HUGE carnival-like day at our church for the community, complete with pony rides and petting zoo), and just very busy things with my job as the Preschool director at our church-even though it's just Sundays, I have a lot to do.

I hope your days will not be as hectic as mine. I am just so thankful for the good Lord, a great co-worker and the awesome small group that I am in. I couldn't keep my tiny bit of sanity without them!
